6144 CUDA cores on a 192-bit bus — the proper 1440p tier
Quick Specs
- NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 GPU with 6144 CUDA cores.
- 12GB GDDR7 memory at 28 Gbps on a 192-bit interface.
- OC mode boost clock of 2572 MHz.
- 249mm, 2.53-slot two-fan design.
- 750W recommended PSU, dual 8-pin via included adapter.
Where 1440p stops being a compromise
The RTX 5070 is the first card in the Blackwell stack built for high-refresh 1440p rather than merely capable of it. 6144 CUDA cores is a third more than the 5060 Ti, and the wider 192-bit memory bus paired with 28 Gbps GDDR7 removes the bandwidth ceiling that constrains the 128-bit cards below it. Ray tracing at 1440p becomes a default setting rather than a considered decision.
Compact for its class
At 249mm the Dual is noticeably shorter than most 5070 designs, which keeps it viable in cases that cannot take a 320mm triple-fan card. Two axial-tech fans over a 2.53-slot heatsink handle the thermal load. Note the higher 750W PSU recommendation and the two 8-pin connections — worth checking your supply before ordering.
FEATURES:
- 6144 CUDA cores on a 192-bit bus for genuine high-refresh 1440p performance.
- 12GB GDDR7 at 28 Gbps removes the bandwidth ceiling of 128-bit cards.
- DLSS 4 with Multi Frame Generation for substantial frame rate gains.
- 249mm length fits cases that cannot take longer 5070 designs.
- Ninth-generation NVENC encoder for streaming and creative work.
