Rapid trigger for competitive shooters
The G515 RAPID TKL swaps the mechanical switches of the standard G515 for magnetic analog ones. Because the keyboard reads exactly how far each key is pressed, you can set the actuation point per key anywhere from 0.1 to 2.5 mm. Rapid trigger resets a key the moment you start lifting it, which makes counter-strafing in CS2 or Valorant noticeably faster. Key priority (SOCD) decides what happens when opposing keys like A and D are held together, and multipoint actuation lets one key do two things at different depths. All of it is set up in G HUB. At 22 mm tall, it's comfortable without a wrist rest.
Who needs analog, and who doesn't
If you mainly play shooters at a competitive level, analog switches and rapid trigger are a real advantage. If you mostly type, play MMOs or single-player games, the standard G515 TKL gives the same slim design for less. Low-profile switches have a short travel, which some people love and others find shallow. The TKL layout has no number pad. It's wired only, so for a cable-free low-profile board look at the G515 LIGHTSPEED. Because tournament rules sometimes restrict SOCD features, check before you enable them in competitive play.
