A webcam made for the home office
The Brio 500 is a business webcam rather than a streaming camera. RightLight 4 and HDR handle the classic home-office problem of a bright window behind you, and RightSight auto-framing keeps you centred if you lean back or move around. The field of view switches between 90, 78 and 65 degrees, so you can show a whole room or crop out the washing behind you. Show Mode is the handy extra: point the camera down at a sketch or document and it flips the image. It's certified for Microsoft Teams, Zoom and Google Meet, and has a built-in privacy shutter.
Check your ports before you order
The cable is attached and ends in USB-C, so older desktops with only USB-A ports will need an adapter. Video tops out at 1080p at 30fps, or 720p at 60fps, which is plenty for calls but not the 4K of the MX Brio. Auto-framing and the extra settings need Logitech's Logi Tune software, which isn't available on ChromeOS, and RightSight currently works on Windows only. If you just want a straightforward plug-in camera for a USB-A PC, the C920s is cheaper and does the basics well.
