- Cherry MX2A Red linear switches, hot-swappable (3- and 5-pin)

The safe switch choice
MX2A Red is Cherry's updated light linear switch: smooth from top to bottom, with no bump or click, so it suits gaming and typing equally and won't disturb anyone nearby. In the white Zero 6108 it comes with a full 108-key layout, numpad and dedicated multimedia keys, and three ways to connect: USB-C, 2.4GHz wireless and Bluetooth for a second device. An aluminium plate, Flex Cut PCB, PU bottom foam and Q-Bounce pad give a solid, well-damped sound, and the white double-shot PBT keycaps have clear legends that let the RGB through.
Things to know
If you like feeling a tactile bump, MX2A Brown will suit you better, and gamers chasing the shortest actuation may prefer Speed Silver. The hot-swap PCB accepts 3-pin and 5-pin switches, so you can change later. There's no QMK or VIA support, Windows is the listed OS, and battery life for the 2,500mAh cell isn't published. A full-size board takes more desk space than a TKL. White keycaps show grime over time.
