Why It Beats a Desk Lamp

Asymmetric optics throw light down and forward onto the desk, while a hood stops it spilling onto the panel, so there is no reflection on the screen. It sits on top of the monitor, freeing desk space, and the head rotates up to 25° to suit your desk and screen height. A wireless remote handles on/off, brightness and colour temperature from warm 2700K to cool 6500K, and Xiaomi rates colour rendering at Ra95, so paper and skin tones look natural. Powered from a computer, it switches on when the PC does.

Check Before You Buy

Xiaomi designed it for desktop monitors between 1 and 32mm thick at the top edge. Panels thinner than 10mm work, but you need to steady the screen by hand when adjusting the angle, and Xiaomi does not recommend it for laptops. It needs a USB port, power bank or 5V 1A adapter, because only the cable is supplied. At 448mm long, it suits screens wider than that, which is most 22-inch and larger monitors. Brightness is 270 lumens at 3900K: ideal task lighting for a desk, not a replacement for a room light.
