Same 200Hz IPS panel as the G24i 2026, stretched to 27 inches, which buys you presence at the cost of sharpness.
Quick Specs
- 27" 1920 x 1080 IPS panel
- 200Hz refresh rate
- 1ms response time
- FreeSync Premium
- 2 year warranty
Read this before you choose 27" over 24"
1080p across 27 inches works out to roughly 81 pixels per inch. Text edges soften, small UI fonts in spreadsheets and code editors look slightly fuzzy, and you sit further back to compensate. That is the honest trade, and it is the reason the 24" G24i 2026 exists at R600 less with an identical refresh rate. What you get in return is a larger image at the same distance, which suits couch-distance console play, racing and flight sims, and anyone who simply wants a bigger picture and does not read fine text on it all day. If you work on this screen, look at the G27Qi instead.
The 200Hz side of it
Driving 1080p at 200fps is far easier than driving 1440p at the same rate, so this is the size and resolution where a mid-range card genuinely reaches the panel's ceiling in competitive titles. FreeSync Premium handles the frames where it does not, including below the panel's minimum refresh, where plain FreeSync would give up. The 1ms response keeps the pixel transitions ahead of the frame rate, so fast horizontal pans do not leave a trail. It is a straightforward esports panel, not a colour-critical one.
