A 1000mAh battery — the largest in this range — behind ten buttons and three ways to connect.
Quick Specs
- High-precision optical sensor up to 12000 DPI
- Tri-mode: wired, 2.4GHz wireless and Bluetooth
- 1000mAh built-in rechargeable lithium battery
- 10 buttons, 8 of them fully programmable
- RGB backlighting, ergonomic right-handed shell
The biggest battery in the range
At 1000mAh the Taipan Max carries noticeably more charge than the 700mAh Naga M730-WL, and it shows in how rarely you reach for a cable. Combined with tri-mode connectivity it covers every situation properly: 2.4GHz through the dongle for gaming, Bluetooth for a laptop where USB ports are scarce, and wired when you want to charge and keep playing. For anyone who games on a desktop but also works off a notebook, that Bluetooth mode saves carrying a dongle around.
Ten buttons without becoming an MMO mouse
Ten buttons with eight programmable is the sweet spot between a standard six-button shooter mouse and a twelve-button MMO grid. You get room for a ping, a grenade, push-to-talk and a couple of macros while keeping a shape you can still aim with. The 12000 DPI ceiling is higher than anything else in this range, which only matters on a high-resolution display at low sensitivity, but the useful part is the granularity below it. The shell is ergonomic and right-handed — left-handed players should look at the ambidextrous Storm M808 instead.
