Why wired is not a downgrade
Wireless is convenient, but it adds a battery that ages, a dongle that gets lost and a pairing step every time you switch machines. A wired board is plugged in and working. For anyone who games at one desk on one PC, the only thing wireless buys is a tidier cable run. The Broadsword leans into that: no radio, no battery, and the money goes into the switches and the backlight instead. If you move between a laptop and a desktop daily, look at the tri-mode boards in this range instead.
Outemu Reds and the tenkeyless trade
Outemu Red switches are linear and light. They actuate smoothly with no bump, which suits repeated presses in games and makes them quieter than blues without being silent. Typists who want to feel a key register should look at a tactile board. Dropping the numpad shifts your mouse hand roughly ten centimetres closer to your body, which genuinely helps at low mouse sensitivity. The cost is that data entry becomes a chore, so this is a poor second keyboard for accounting work.
FEATURES:
- Outemu Red linear switches for light, consistent actuation
- Tenkeyless footprint frees desk space for low-sensitivity mouse play
- 18 RGB backlighting modes adjustable from the board
- Wired USB connection with no battery to charge or replace
- Full-size key spacing retained despite the compact footprint
