Gasket mounting and cream linear switches on a 98-key board, at a price where most rivals are still riveting the plate to the case.
Quick Specs
- 98+1 key layout in a 96% footprint
- Cream linear switches, hot-swappable
- Gasket-mounted construction
- Triple-mode connectivity
- Per-key RGB backlighting
What gasket mounting actually changes
In a cheap keyboard the switch plate is screwed hard to the case, so every keystroke transmits a sharp, hollow knock through the shell. A gasket mount suspends the plate on soft strips instead. The board flexes a fraction under your fingers and the sound drops from a rattle to a duller thock. It is a comfort and acoustics upgrade, not a speed one. If you type for hours it is the single feature most worth paying for; if you only game in short bursts you may not notice.
Cream linears and the hot-swap escape hatch
Cream linear switches are smooth all the way down with no tactile bump, and they are on the quieter side of linear. That makes this a reasonable board for an open-plan office or a shared flat, which is rare in gaming keyboards. If you decide you want the feedback of a tactile or the noise of a clicky switch, the sockets are hot-swappable, so you swap switches rather than the whole keyboard. The extra 1 key is a rotary knob position for volume and lighting.
FEATURES:
- Gasket-mounted plate for a softer keypress and a quieter sound profile
- Hot-swappable sockets let you change switch feel without soldering
- Triple-mode connectivity covers wired, 2.4GHz and Bluetooth devices
- 98+1 layout keeps the numpad without full-size desk sprawl
- Per-key RGB with adjustable effects
