A big, fast, cheap 27-inch panel that trades sharpness for size, and is upfront about it.
Quick Specs
- 27" Rapid IPS panel, flat
- 1920 x 1080 (FHD) at 200Hz
- 0.5ms GtG (min) response
- AMD FreeSync Premium
- 2x HDMI 2.0b, 1x DisplayPort 1.2a
Read this before you buy: 1080p at 27 inches
Stretching 1920 x 1080 over a 27-inch panel gives roughly 82 pixels per inch. Games look fine because the image is in motion and most engines apply their own anti-aliasing, but text, spreadsheet cells and UI edges will look noticeably softer than the same content on a 24.5-inch 1080p screen or any 1440p screen. If you sit close and spend your day in documents, look at the MAG 275QF E20 instead, which is the same size and refresh rate at 2560 x 1440. If you sit further back, play more than you type, and want the largest fast panel this budget reaches, this is the one.
Where the money went
Everything that is not the resolution is the same current-generation hardware MSI puts in its dearer MAG screens. Rapid IPS gives 178 degree viewing angles and quick pixel transitions without VA-style black smearing, 200Hz is available on all three inputs, and FreeSync Premium handles variable refresh. Colour coverage is listed at 115% sRGB and 85% DCI-P3 with 10-bit output through 8-bit plus FRC, which is more than a screen at this price usually offers. Brightness is 300 nits and HDR is the entry-level HDR Ready tier, so treat HDR as a signal compatibility box rather than a feature.

- 100 x 100mm VESA mounting for arms and brackets

Questions
Before you buy
What do I need to run it at its full refresh rate?
To reach 200Hz at 1920 x 1080 you need a graphics card able to output that mode, a cable that supports it, and the refresh rate selected in Windows display settings - monitors often default to 60Hz out of the box. The ports on this panel are listed under Specifications above.
What sort of panel is it?
It is Rapid IPS with a 0.5ms GtG response time. Panel type is the main thing that decides how a monitor looks off-centre and how it handles colour and contrast, so it is worth weighing against refresh rate rather than choosing on the headline number alone.
Can I wall-mount it or put it on an arm?
This is a 27.0 inch panel. Whether it takes a VESA mount, and at which spacing, is listed under Specifications - if a VESA size is shown there, any arm or bracket rated for that pattern and the monitor’s weight will fit. If you are not sure, send us the model of your arm and we will check.
Is it in stock, and when will it ship?
Yes - this one is in stock. Order before 12:00 on a working day and it ships the same day; after that it goes out the next working day. We are open 09:00 to 16:30, Monday to Friday, so an order placed over a weekend or a public holiday ships on the next working day.
What does delivery cost, and how long does it take?
We deliver by courier anywhere in South Africa, and delivery is R180 on orders under R2 500 and free on orders of R2 500 or more. It takes 1-3 working days to Johannesburg, Pretoria, Cape Town, Durban and areas within 100km of them, and 2-4 working days to areas more than 100km from a major centre, counted from the day the order is dispatched. Need it sooner? Express delivery is 1-2 working days for R210, or R150 on orders of R2 500 or more - choose it at checkout. We do not ship outside South Africa.
Can I collect instead of having it delivered?
Yes. Collection is from 11 Voortrekker Avenue, Edenvale, Gauteng, by arrangement - message us first so we can have the order picked and waiting. We are open 09:00 to 16:30, Monday to Friday.
What warranty does it carry, and how do I claim?
The warranty period for this product is listed at the end of the Specifications section above. Claims go through us, not the manufacturer - contact us with your order number and a description of the fault and we will handle it from there. Separately from any warranty, the Consumer Protection Act gives you six months from delivery to return goods that are defective, unsafe or not fit for their intended purpose.
What if I change my mind?
You have 14 days from delivery to change your mind - longer than the seven days the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act requires. The item needs to be unused and in its original packaging, and we pay the return shipping. Refunds go back to the payment method you used, within 30 days of the return reaching us.
How can I pay?
Payments are processed by Stitch. At the last step of checkout you are taken to Stitch’s secure page to pay, and brought back here once it is done. Your card details are entered on Stitch’s secure, PCI-compliant page and never touch our systems.
