Current-generation features, entry-level price
The RTX 5050 is the cheapest way into Blackwell, and what that buys is not raw shader count but the feature set: DLSS 4 with Multi Frame Generation on fourth-generation Tensor cores, fourth-generation RT cores, and the ninth-generation NVENC encoder. At 1080p with DLSS enabled it handles current titles at high settings.
Small enough for anything
At 197mm and two slots this fits mini-ITX cases, small prebuilts and office towers being converted to gaming machines. A single 8-pin from a 550W supply means the upgrade usually stops at the card. The VENTUS cooler skips lighting and puts the budget into TORX fans and heatsink area.

Before you buy
What size power supply do I need for this card?
MSI specifies a 550W power supply as the minimum for a complete system built around it. That figure covers the whole PC, not the card on its own, so if your current supply is at or above it you are fine. If you are close to the line, or the supply is an older unbranded unit, it is worth upgrading at the same time - an underpowered PSU shows up as crashes under load rather than a machine that simply will not start.
Will this card fit inside my case?
It is 197mm long. Check the maximum graphics card clearance for your case and make sure it is more than that - allow a little extra for the power cables that plug into the top or end of the card. Every case we sell lists its maximum card length on the Specifications tab, so you can compare the two numbers directly.
Which GPU is in this card, and how much video memory does it have?
This is a GeForce RTX 5050 with 8GB of video memory. Video memory is the buffer the card uses for textures and frame data, so it matters most at higher resolutions and with high-detail texture settings. The full clock speeds, memory interface and display outputs are listed under Specifications above.
Is it in stock, and when will it ship?
This one is out of stock at the moment. Stock does come back in - WhatsApp us on 079 491 0181 with the model and we will tell you what the supplier is showing and let you know when it lands, rather than leaving you to keep checking the page.
What does delivery cost, and how long does it take?
We deliver by courier anywhere in South Africa, and delivery is free on every order. It takes 1-3 working days to Johannesburg, Pretoria, Cape Town, Durban and areas within 100km of them, and 2-4 working days to areas more than 100km from a major centre, counted from the day the order is dispatched. Need it sooner? Express delivery is 1-2 working days for R150 - choose it at checkout. We do not ship outside South Africa.
Can I collect instead of having it delivered?
Yes. Collection is from 11 Voortrekker Avenue, Edenvale, Gauteng, by arrangement - message us first so we can have the order picked and waiting. We are open 09:00 to 16:30, Monday to Friday.
What warranty does it carry, and how do I claim?
The warranty period for this product is listed at the end of the Specifications section above. Claims go through us, not the manufacturer - contact us with your order number and a description of the fault and we will handle it from there. Separately from any warranty, the Consumer Protection Act gives you six months from delivery to return goods that are defective, unsafe or not fit for their intended purpose.
What if I change my mind?
You have 14 days from delivery to change your mind - longer than the seven days the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act requires. The item needs to be unused and in its original packaging, and we pay the return shipping. Refunds go back to the payment method you used, within 30 days of the return reaching us.
How can I pay?
