The Q6 Max fitted with Jupiter Bananas — tactile switches, for people who type more than they frag.
Quick Specs
- Pre-lubed Gateron Jupiter Banana tactile switches, hot-swappable
- CNC-machined 6063 aluminium with double-gasket mount
- Bluetooth 5.1 (three devices), 2.4GHz at 1000Hz, USB Type-C
- ARM Cortex-M4 with QMK/VIA, 4000mAh battery
- South-facing RGB with 22 presets, full-size layout with knob
Tactile rather than linear
This is the same board as the Jupiter Red model with one meaningful difference: the switches have a tactile bump at the actuation point instead of travelling smoothly all the way down. For typing that bump is genuinely useful — it tells you the key registered without needing to bottom out, which reduces fatigue over a long day and cuts typos. For pure gaming a linear is marginally faster; for a board you work on, tactile is usually the better call.
The rest of the specification
Unchanged from the Red version, and that is the point: CNC-machined 6063 aluminium, a flexible PC plate on a double-gasket mount, south-facing RGB with diffusers and 22 presets. Bluetooth 5.1 pairs three devices, 2.4GHz runs at 1000Hz, and USB-C covers wired. An ARM Cortex-M4 runs QMK/VIA for real-time remapping and macros through the browser, with a 4000mAh battery behind it. Sockets are hot-swappable for 3-pin and 5-pin MX switches, so the choice of tactile is not permanent.
