The tighter-timing Orion: same DDR5-6000 speed, CL36 instead of CL38, in grey.
Quick Specs
- 16GB capacity supplied as one single module, not a kit
- DDR5-6000 rated speed at CL36 timings
- Grey heat spreader with a diffused addressable RGB bar
- XMP 3.0 and AMD EXPO profiles, C-revision die
- Limited Lifetime Warranty, genuine local stock
What CL36 actually buys you over CL38
At the same 6000MHz clock, CAS latency is the honest differentiator between two otherwise identical modules. CL36 means the first word of data arrives two clock cycles sooner than on a CL38 part — roughly 12 nanoseconds versus 12.7. That is a genuine improvement, and it tends to show up in 1% lows and frame pacing rather than average framerate, because latency-sensitive workloads like game simulation threads feel it more than throughput-bound ones. It is a small gain, and we will not pretend otherwise: single-digit percent at best, in the games that care. This module also carries a C-revision die, noted here as a specification only.
Buy the CL38 version instead if the price gap matters
This module carries a clear premium over the CL38 Orion for a couple of cycles of latency. If your budget is fixed, spend the difference on capacity or a better GPU — 32GB at CL38 will serve a gaming build far better than 16GB at CL36. It is also a single stick. Run it alone and you are in single channel, which costs you roughly half your memory bandwidth and a real chunk of framerate; pair it with a second identical module, or buy a matched kit from the start. DDR5 only, too: it will not seat in AM4 or LGA1200 boards, since the notch position differs physically between generations.

- Dual profile support: Intel XMP 3.0 and AMD EXPO
- Diffused addressable RGB bar, driven by motherboard lighting software
- On-die ECC and integrated on-module power management
- Aluminium heat spreader in a standard-height DIMM profile

WHAT'S IN THE BOX:
- 1 x GeIL Orion RGB 16GB DDR5-6000 CL36 module
- Retail blister packaging
- GeIL warranty documentation
Why GeIL?
GeIL bins and validates its own modules rather than simply reselling reference designs, which is how the same Orion housing ends up in both CL38 and tighter CL36 grades. Every GeIL module from AZonline is genuine stock carrying a Limited Lifetime Warranty.
Rated speed and timings apply only once XMP or EXPO is enabled in BIOS — out of the box DDR5 defaults to the JEDEC base speed of 4800MHz. Always check your motherboard's QVL before purchase.
