Air Cooling for Hotter Processors
The MP7-BA is the step up from FSP's four-pipe NP5. Six 6 mm heat pipes sit on a copper base plate and run into a deeper 97.5 mm aluminium fin stack, and FSP rates the cooler at 280 W. The 120 mm fan spins from 800 to 1800 RPM, moving 76 CFM with 2.1 mmH2O of static pressure. That makes it a sensible choice for a higher-end gaming or productivity build, or for anyone who would rather avoid the pump and tubing of an AIO liquid cooler. Check clearance first: it stands 153 mm tall.
MP7-BA or MP7-B?
FSP sells this cooler in two black versions. The MP7-BA adds addressable RGB lighting to the fan, controlled from a motherboard ARGB header or a separate ARGB controller, so it can match the rest of a lit build. The MP7-B uses the same heatsink, heat pipes and fan figures but has no lighting, which suits windowless cases or builders who want fewer cables. Compared with the NP5, the trade-off for the extra cooling capacity is a little more noise: 32 dBA rated against 28 dBA. Intel and AMD mounting clip kits are both in the box.

Before you buy
Will it fit in my case?
It stands 153mm tall, measured from the motherboard. Compare that against the maximum cooler height for your case, which is listed on the Specifications tab of every case we sell. Tall memory modules can also foul a wide cooler - check the cooler’s manual if your RAM has a large heatspreader.
Does it fit my processor?
The mounting hardware in the box covers LGA1954, LGA1851, LGA1700, LGA1200, AM5, AM4. If your socket is on that list the bracket you need is included - there is nothing extra to buy.
Is it in stock, and when will it ship?
This one is out of stock at the moment. Stock does come back in - WhatsApp us on 079 491 0181 with the model and we will tell you what the supplier is showing and let you know when it lands, rather than leaving you to keep checking the page.
What does delivery cost, and how long does it take?
We deliver by courier anywhere in South Africa, and delivery is R180 on orders under R2 500 and free on orders of R2 500 or more. It takes 1-3 working days to Johannesburg, Pretoria, Cape Town, Durban and areas within 100km of them, and 2-4 working days to areas more than 100km from a major centre, counted from the day the order is dispatched. Need it sooner? Express delivery is 1-2 working days for R210, or R150 on orders of R2 500 or more - choose it at checkout. We do not ship outside South Africa.
Can I collect instead of having it delivered?
Yes. Collection is from 11 Voortrekker Avenue, Edenvale, Gauteng, by arrangement - message us first so we can have the order picked and waiting. We are open 09:00 to 16:30, Monday to Friday.
What warranty does it carry, and how do I claim?
The warranty period for this product is listed at the end of the Specifications section above. Claims go through us, not the manufacturer - contact us with your order number and a description of the fault and we will handle it from there. Separately from any warranty, the Consumer Protection Act gives you six months from delivery to return goods that are defective, unsafe or not fit for their intended purpose.
What if I change my mind?
You have 14 days from delivery to change your mind - longer than the seven days the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act requires. The item needs to be unused and in its original packaging, and we pay the return shipping. Refunds go back to the payment method you used, within 30 days of the return reaching us.
