Best-binned silicon on the biggest cooler
At 2790 MHz in OC mode this is 60 MHz clear of the TUF version and well above every other 5080 in the range. The 3.8-slot quad-fan Astral cooler is why it holds there: an enormous heatsink means low fan speeds, and low fan speeds mean a card that stays quiet through a long session at 4K.
Five display outputs
Two HDMI 2.1b ports alongside three DisplayPort 2.1b is unusual and useful — a monitor plus a TV, or a capture card alongside displays, without adapters. 30 Gbps GDDR7 is the fastest memory below the 5090, and DLSS 4 with Multi Frame Generation handles 4K path tracing. Requires an 850W supply and real case clearance.

Before you buy
What size power supply do I need for this card?
ASUS specifies a 850W power supply as the minimum for a complete system built around it. That figure covers the whole PC, not the card on its own, so if your current supply is at or above it you are fine. If you are close to the line, or the supply is an older unbranded unit, it is worth upgrading at the same time - an underpowered PSU shows up as crashes under load rather than a machine that simply will not start.
Will this card fit inside my case?
It is 358mm long. Check the maximum graphics card clearance for your case and make sure it is more than that - allow a little extra for the power cables that plug into the top or end of the card. Every case we sell lists its maximum card length on the Specifications tab, so you can compare the two numbers directly.
Which GPU is in this card, and how much video memory does it have?
This is a GeForce RTX 5080 with 16GB of video memory. Video memory is the buffer the card uses for textures and frame data, so it matters most at higher resolutions and with high-detail texture settings. The full clock speeds, memory interface and display outputs are listed under Specifications above.
Is it in stock, and when will it ship?
This one is out of stock at the moment. Stock does come back in - WhatsApp us on 079 491 0181 with the model and we will tell you what the supplier is showing and let you know when it lands, rather than leaving you to keep checking the page.
What does delivery cost, and how long does it take?
We deliver by courier anywhere in South Africa, and delivery is R180 on orders under R2 500 and free on orders of R2 500 or more. It takes 1-3 working days to Johannesburg, Pretoria, Cape Town, Durban and areas within 100km of them, and 2-4 working days to areas more than 100km from a major centre, counted from the day the order is dispatched. Need it sooner? Express delivery is 1-2 working days for R210, or R150 on orders of R2 500 or more - choose it at checkout. We do not ship outside South Africa.
Can I collect instead of having it delivered?
Yes. Collection is from 11 Voortrekker Avenue, Edenvale, Gauteng, by arrangement - message us first so we can have the order picked and waiting. We are open 09:00 to 16:30, Monday to Friday.
What warranty does it carry, and how do I claim?
The warranty period for this product is listed at the end of the Specifications section above. Claims go through us, not the manufacturer - contact us with your order number and a description of the fault and we will handle it from there. Separately from any warranty, the Consumer Protection Act gives you six months from delivery to return goods that are defective, unsafe or not fit for their intended purpose.
What if I change my mind?
You have 14 days from delivery to change your mind - longer than the seven days the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act requires. The item needs to be unused and in its original packaging, and we pay the return shipping. Refunds go back to the payment method you used, within 30 days of the return reaching us.
How can I pay?
