12GB on a 192-bit bus — Intel's value proposition
Quick Specs
- Intel Arc B580 GPU with 160 XMX engines.
- 12GB GDDR6 memory at 19 Gbps on a 192-bit bus.
- 2740 MHz graphics clock.
- 249 x 132 x 41 mm dual-slot design.
- 650W recommended PSU, single 8-pin connector.
Memory where the competition is stingy
The B580's argument is simple: 12GB on a 192-bit bus at a price where NVIDIA and AMD ship 8GB on 128-bit. At 1440p with high textures that difference is real — more frame buffer and more bandwidth, which is precisely what a mid-range card runs short of first. Intel's Battlemage architecture also brought a substantial ray tracing improvement over the first Arc generation.
Worth knowing before you buy
Arc performs best on a system with Resizable BAR enabled — on older platforms without it, performance drops noticeably. Driver support has improved considerably but remains behind NVIDIA and AMD in very old titles. For modern games at 1440p on a current platform, the value is genuinely strong. XeSS handles upscaling, and the 160 XMX engines give it real AI acceleration.
FEATURES:
- 12GB GDDR6 on a 192-bit bus — more memory and bandwidth than rivals at this price.

- Battlemage architecture with improved ray tracing over first-gen Arc.
- DisplayPort 2.1 and HDMI 2.1a outputs.
- 249mm dual-slot design from a single 8-pin connector.
