The only business machine here on Intel's Core Ultra platform, with a 16-inch screen and three years of cover - built for people who work on the laptop all day.
Quick Specs
- Intel Core Ultra 5 125U processor
- 16" display
- 8GB DDR5 memory, 1TB NVMe SSD
- Windows 11 Pro
- 3 year Acer warranty
What Core Ultra brings
Intel's Core Ultra parts split work across performance, efficient and low-power efficient cores, which makes a real difference to battery life on a machine that spends its day in Teams and a browser rather than under load. They also include a neural processing unit, which is what Windows uses for background effects in video calls and the on-device AI features increasingly built into Office - work that used to cost you processor time and battery.
The 16-inch decision
Bigger than the 14" TravelMate P2 and heavier to carry, but if the laptop is your primary screen for eight hours a day that trade is usually worth making. It is the difference between two documents side by side and constant window-switching.
Same caveat as the P2
8GB, albeit DDR5 this time. For a browser, Office and Teams it works; for anything heavier it is the first limit you will hit on an otherwise capable machine. Factor a memory upgrade into the budget if this is a full-time work laptop - it is a cheap fix and we can do it for you.
