The case is the one part you live with. It decides how loud the PC is, how long it takes to build, how easy it is to upgrade, and whether the graphics card you want will physically go in.

Three numbers do the deciding: the board sizes it accepts, the longest graphics card it clears, and the tallest cooler it takes. We list all three on every chassis, sourced from the manufacturer, and the PC Builder checks your parts against them. Where a maker quotes two figures, we use the tighter one.
