The one change, and the one thing that did not change
The 2026 revision lifts the refresh ceiling from 100Hz to 144Hz. Everything that defines how this screen reads is untouched: still 27 inches, still 1920 x 1080, still IPS, still a 6ms response. That means it is still roughly 81 pixels per inch, so text is still softer than on a 24-inch 1080p screen, and a higher refresh rate does nothing to change that. Buy on size and price, not on the Hz figure, and if sharpness is what you are after go up to the A27Qi 2026 at 1440p instead.
Where 144Hz earns its place on a work desk
The honest answer is smoothness rather than speed. Dragging windows, scrolling long pages and tracking the mouse pointer all look cleaner, and over an eight hour day that is less tiring than it sounds. The 6ms response time keeps this out of gaming territory, because pixels change slower than frames arrive and fast motion will trail. What makes this listing unusual is the price: R2 599 against R2 899 for the older 100Hz unit, so there is no premium being charged for the newer panel.

Before you buy
What do I need to run it at its full refresh rate?
To reach 144Hz at 1920 x 1080 you need a graphics card able to output that mode, a cable that supports it, and the refresh rate selected in Windows display settings - monitors often default to 60Hz out of the box. The ports on this panel are listed under Specifications above.
What sort of panel is it?
It is IPS with a 6ms response time. Panel type is the main thing that decides how a monitor looks off-centre and how it handles colour and contrast, so it is worth weighing against refresh rate rather than choosing on the headline number alone.
Can I wall-mount it or put it on an arm?
This is a 27.0 inch panel. Whether it takes a VESA mount, and at which spacing, is listed under Specifications - if a VESA size is shown there, any arm or bracket rated for that pattern and the monitor’s weight will fit. If you are not sure, send us the model of your arm and we will check.

Can I collect instead of having it delivered?
Yes. Collection is from 11 Voortrekker Avenue, Edenvale, Gauteng, by arrangement - message us first so we can have the order picked and waiting. We are open 09:00 to 16:30, Monday to Friday.
What warranty does it carry, and how do I claim?
The warranty period for this product is listed at the end of the Specifications section above. Claims go through us, not the manufacturer - contact us with your order number and a description of the fault and we will handle it from there. Separately from any warranty, the Consumer Protection Act gives you six months from delivery to return goods that are defective, unsafe or not fit for their intended purpose.
What if I change my mind?
You have 14 days from delivery to change your mind - longer than the seven days the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act requires. The item needs to be unused and in its original packaging, and we pay the return shipping. Refunds go back to the payment method you used, within 30 days of the return reaching us.
