The same 24.5-inch Rapid IPS panel as the MAG 255F E20, run 40Hz faster for about R100 more.
Quick Specs
- 24.5" Rapid IPS panel, flat
- 1920 x 1080 (FHD) at 240Hz
- 0.5ms GtG (min) response
- AMD FreeSync Premium
- 2x HDMI 2.0b, 1x DisplayPort 1.2a
The honest comparison with the 255F E20
These two are the same monitor in every way that shows up on a desk: same 24.5-inch size, same 1080p resolution, same Rapid IPS technology, same flat panel, same tilt-only stand, same port layout, same 300 nit brightness. The E20 runs at 200Hz and this one runs at 240Hz. MSI also lists slightly wider colour coverage on the X24 at 117% sRGB and 90% DCI-P3, against 100% sRGB and 79% DCI-P3 on the E20. For roughly R100 the faster panel is the obvious pick, and there is no reason to talk yourself into the slower one.
Whether 240 frames is reachable for you
A 240Hz panel only earns its refresh rate if your graphics card can feed it. In esports titles like CS2, Valorant and Overwatch at 1080p on medium settings, a current mid-range card will sit near or above 240fps and you will feel the difference in mouse tracking. In a demanding single-player game it will not, and the panel simply idles at whatever frame rate you produce, with FreeSync Premium keeping the image tear-free. Skip this one if you mostly play story games or if you want more desktop space, because 1080p at this size is about speed, not room to work.

Questions
Before you buy
What do I need to run it at its full refresh rate?
To reach 240Hz at 1920 x 1080 you need a graphics card able to output that mode, a cable that supports it, and the refresh rate selected in Windows display settings - monitors often default to 60Hz out of the box. The ports on this panel are listed under Specifications above.
What sort of panel is it?
It is Rapid IPS with a 0.5ms GtG response time. Panel type is the main thing that decides how a monitor looks off-centre and how it handles colour and contrast, so it is worth weighing against refresh rate rather than choosing on the headline number alone.
Can I wall-mount it or put it on an arm?
This is a 24.5 inch panel. Whether it takes a VESA mount, and at which spacing, is listed under Specifications - if a VESA size is shown there, any arm or bracket rated for that pattern and the monitor’s weight will fit. If you are not sure, send us the model of your arm and we will check.
Is it in stock, and when will it ship?
Yes - this one is in stock. Order before 12:00 on a working day and it ships the same day; after that it goes out the next working day. We are open 09:00 to 16:30, Monday to Friday, so an order placed over a weekend or a public holiday ships on the next working day.
What does delivery cost, and how long does it take?
We deliver by courier anywhere in South Africa, and delivery is R180 on orders under R2 500 and free on orders of R2 500 or more. It takes 1-3 working days to Johannesburg, Pretoria, Cape Town, Durban and areas within 100km of them, and 2-4 working days to areas more than 100km from a major centre, counted from the day the order is dispatched. Need it sooner? Express delivery is 1-2 working days for R210, or R150 on orders of R2 500 or more - choose it at checkout. We do not ship outside South Africa.
Can I collect instead of having it delivered?
Yes. Collection is from 11 Voortrekker Avenue, Edenvale, Gauteng, by arrangement - message us first so we can have the order picked and waiting. We are open 09:00 to 16:30, Monday to Friday.
What warranty does it carry, and how do I claim?
The warranty period for this product is listed at the end of the Specifications section above. Claims go through us, not the manufacturer - contact us with your order number and a description of the fault and we will handle it from there. Separately from any warranty, the Consumer Protection Act gives you six months from delivery to return goods that are defective, unsafe or not fit for their intended purpose.
What if I change my mind?
You have 14 days from delivery to change your mind - longer than the seven days the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act requires. The item needs to be unused and in its original packaging, and we pay the return shipping. Refunds go back to the payment method you used, within 30 days of the return reaching us.
How can I pay?
Payments are processed by Stitch. At the last step of checkout you are taken to Stitch’s secure page to pay, and brought back here once it is done. Your card details are entered on Stitch’s secure, PCI-compliant page and never touch our systems.
