Text is crisp at normal desk distance without Windows scaling, which means no blurry legacy applications and no guesswork about scaling factors. It is also roughly 78 percent more pixels than 1080p, so you get real extra working space beside a game or a browser. Against 4K at the same size, you give up some sharpness but you halve the rendering load, which is what makes a 180Hz target realistic on a card that costs less than the monitor.

The older revision, and why that can be fine

This unit sits a step below the 2026 G27Qi: 180Hz rather than 200Hz, and plain FreeSync rather than FreeSync Premium. The gap between those two is small in practice and the price gap is R100, so for most buyers the newer one is the better purchase. Choose this one when it is the unit in stock, or when you want the 2024 chassis to match an existing G24i on the same desk. Either way the panel and the pixel density are the same, and both need a card that can hold 100fps or better at QHD to feel like a high refresh screen.

FEATURES:

QHD resolution at 27", around 109 pixels per inch

180Hz refresh rate

1ms response time

FreeSync adaptive refresh

IPS panel, so colour and contrast hold up off-axis

SPECIFICATIONS:

Model: Xiaomi Gaming Monitor G27Qi

Screen size: 27 inch

Panel: IPS

Resolution: 2560 x 1440

Refresh rate: 180Hz

Response time: 1ms

Adaptive sync: FreeSync

Curvature: flat

Warranty: 2 year

WHAT'S IN THE BOX:

Xiaomi G27Qi monitor

Stand base and bracket

Power adapter

Documentation

Cables: Xiaomi does not itemise the cable bundle for this model, so ask us before ordering if you need a specific cable included

Why Xiaomi?

Xiaomi has been pricing 1440p high-refresh panels below what the established brands charge for 1080p, which is the entire argument for this monitor.
