It has no RGB, no macro buttons and no gaming software, and it will not improve anyone's aim. What it does have is a 1000Hz polling rate — the same reporting speed as proper gaming mice and eight times the 125Hz of the free mouse that came with your PC — which makes the cursor feel immediately smoother in everyday use. For a second machine, a work laptop, a media PC or a spare in the drawer, it is a lot of mouse for R99.

Tracking and comfort for daily work

The KA8G2 and BK8092 optical pairing tracks to 4000 DPI across a range of desk surfaces, so spreadsheet work and rapid application switching stay accurate without a dedicated mousepad. The 2.4GHz link reaches about 10m and keeps a clean desk without Bluetooth pairing hassle. The shape is ambidextrous and light, which suits left-handed users and anyone sharing a machine. Switches are rated to 10 million clicks — modest against gaming mice, but years of ordinary office use. If you want something for actual gaming, start at the R199 Centrophorus 2 instead.

FEATURES:

Up to 4000 DPI optical precision

1000Hz polling rate for responsive control

Stable 2.4GHz wireless with up to 10m range

Switches rated to 10 million clicks

Lightweight ambidextrous design

SPECIFICATIONS:

Model: Redragon BM-2944

Sensor: KA8G2 + BK8092 optical

Connection: 2.4GHz wireless

Range: Up to 10m

DPI: Up to 4000

Polling rate: 1000Hz

Switch durability: 10 million clicks

Shape: Ambidextrous

Compatibility: Windows and macOS

Warranty: 18 months

WHAT'S IN THE BOX:

Redragon BM-2944 Wireless Optical Mouse x1

2.4GHz USB receiver x1

User manual x1

Why Redragon?

Redragon builds peripherals that hit the specifications that actually matter, at prices that leave budget for the rest of the setup.
