pcbuilder-ryzen-7-9850x3d-odyssey-windows-11-gaming-pc
PCBuilder Ryzen 7 9850X3D ODYSSEY Windows 11 Gaming PC

A 5.6GHz X3D processor and an RTX 5080 — 4K gaming without asking the machine to compromise anywhere.

Quick Specs

AMD Ryzen 7 9850X3D, 8 cores / 16 threads, 4.7GHz base, up to 5.6GHz

GeForce RTX 5080 16GB, 30Gbps

32GB DDR5 6000MHz (2 x 16GB)

1TB Gen4 NVMe SSD · 850W 80+ Bronze ATX 3.1

360mm AIO liquid cooler · Windows 11 Home

Where this sits

The 9850X3D pushes the 3D V-Cache design to a 5.6GHz boost — the highest clock of any processor in this collection, and it keeps the cache advantage that makes X3D chips the gaming benchmark leaders. Behind it sits an RTX 5080 with 16GB, which is a genuine 4K card: this is the first machine here specified to run current titles at 4K with ray tracing rather than settling for 1440p.

Worth weighing up

Against the VALKYRIE at R8 000 less, you gain the faster processor and a full class of graphics card, and you give up the Gen5 storage — this build uses a Gen4 drive at 7,100MB/s. The 850W supply is 80+ Bronze rather than Gold and semi-modular, which is adequate but not generous at this price. If you want the absolute top of this range, the ASUS X MIKU build above pairs the same class of card with Gen5 storage and a Gold supply.

FEATURES:

Eight-core AMD Ryzen 7 9850X3D with 3D V-Cache, boost up to 5.6GHz

GeForce RTX 5080 16GB, boost 2655MHz, 30Gbps memory

32GB of DDR5 6000MHz gaming memory on a 4-slot ATX board

850W 80+ Bronze semi-modular supply, ATX 3.1 rated for modern GPU power spikes

PCBuilder BLIZZARD FREEZE 360mm AIO liquid cooler, 3x 120mm fans

PCBuilder LOOKOUT ATX mid tower, tempered glass, front USB Type-C

SPECIFICATIONS:

Model: PCBuilder Ryzen 7 9850X3D ODYSSEY Windows 11 Gaming PC

Processor: AMD Ryzen 7 9850X3D — 8 cores, 16 threads, 4.7GHz base, boost up to 5.6GHz

Motherboard: Asus B850 chipset, AM5, ATX, 4 DIMM slots

Memory: 32GB DDR5 6000MHz (16GB x 2)

Graphics: GeForce RTX 5080 16GB, boost 2655MHz, 30Gbps

Storage: 1TB Gen4 NVMe SSD — read 7,100MB/s, write 6,000MB/s

Cooling: PCBuilder BLIZZARD FREEZE 360mm AIO liquid cooler, 3x 120mm fans

Power supply: 850W 80+ Bronze, semi-modular, ATX 12V (ATX 3.1)

Chassis: PCBuilder LOOKOUT ATX mid tower, tempered glass, 1x USB Type-C / 2x USB 3.0 / HD audio

Networking: Gigabit LAN, Wi-Fi 2.4GHz / 5GHz

Operating system: Microsoft Windows 11 Home

Dimensions: 46.1 x 23.5 x 50.5 cm

Warranty: 2 years

WHAT'S IN THE BOX:

PCBuilder Ryzen 7 9850X3D ODYSSEY Windows 11 Gaming PC x1

PCBuilder welcome guide x1

In-transit protective foam pack x1

1.8m power cable x1

Why PCBuilder?

PCBuilder machines are assembled and tested in-house before they ship, and packed in moulded foam so nothing shakes loose in transit.
