It plugs into a USB-A port and works as a standard USB video class device on Windows, macOS and ChromeOS, with no drivers to install. The five-element autofocus glass lens gives a sharp 1080p picture at desk distance, and the two microphones either side pick up voice better than most laptop mics. The privacy shutter is the reason to choose it over the plain C920: when the call ends, flip it closed and the lens is physically covered. The universal clip fits laptops and monitors, and there's a tripod thread underneath.

Where it stops

Video is capped at 1080p at 30fps, and the field of view is fixed at 78°, so there's no digital zoom or framing control like the Brio range. RightLight 2 helps in a dim room but won't fix a bright window behind you, which is where the Brio 500's HDR earns its price. Streamers who want smoother motion should look at the C922 with 720p/60fps. The cable is USB-A, so a USB-C-only laptop will need an adapter. For straightforward Teams and Zoom calls, though, it's hard to beat at the price.

FEATURES:

Full HD 1080p/30fps video

Privacy shutter flips closed over the lens

Five-element glass lens with autofocus

Dual microphones for stereo audio

RightLight 2 automatic light correction

SPECIFICATIONS:

Model: Logitech C920s HD Pro Webcam (960-001252), M/N V-U0028

Sensor: 3MP true, 15MP software enhanced stills

Video: 360p, 480p, 720p, 1080p (16:9)

Maximum frame rate: 1080p at 30fps

Lens: Glass, autofocus, 3.67 mm focal length

Field of view: 78° diagonal, 70.42° horizontal, 43.3° vertical

Microphone: Stereo

Light correction: RightLight 2

Privacy shutter: Yes

Tripod mounting: Yes

Interface: USB 2.0

Cable length: 1.5 m (5 ft)

Dimensions (H x W x D): 29 x 94 x 24 mm

Weight: 162 g

Compatibility: Windows 8, 10 or later; macOS 10.6 or later; ChromeOS; Android 5.0 or above; Xbox One

Colour: Black

Warranty: Logitech limited hardware warranty

WHAT'S IN THE BOX:

1x C920s HD Pro webcam with privacy shutter

User documentation

Why Logitech?

Logitech's C920 family has been the standard office webcam for years because it works with every major calling platform straight out of the box.
