Spreading 2560 x 1440 across 31.5 inches drops the density to about 93 pixels per inch, so windows and text render physically larger at the same settings. If you find yourself squinting at a 27-inch screen, or you sit further back than average, that is exactly what you want. If you sit close and you care about the crispest possible text edges, the 27-inch version is the sharper display for less money. Neither is wrong, they suit different desks.

Connections, and the 15W ceiling

USB-C handles video and data over a single cable, which cuts the clutter behind a laptop. Note that power delivery is capped at 15W. That is enough for a phone or a peripheral, not enough to run or charge a working notebook, so the laptop charger stays on the desk. Video otherwise comes in over HDMI. There are no built-in speakers, and the stand offers tilt between -5° and +20° with no height adjustment, so at this size a VESA arm is worth considering to get the top edge to eye level.

FEATURES:

31.5-inch QHD panel for physically larger text and interface elements

100Hz refresh rate for smoother scrolling than a standard 60Hz display

IPS panel with 99% sRGB coverage and stable off-axis colour

USB-C video and data over one cable with 15W power delivery

HDR10 support and three-side virtually borderless design

SPECIFICATIONS:

Model: 32U631A-B.AFBQ

Screen size: 31.5 inches

Panel type: IPS

Resolution: 2560 x 1440 (QHD), 16:9

Refresh rate: 100Hz

Response time: 5ms (GtG at Faster)

Brightness: 250 cd/m² (typical)

Contrast ratio: 1000:1 (typical)

Colour gamut: sRGB 99% (CIE1931)

HDR: HDR10 supported

Inputs: 1x USB-C (video, data, 15W power delivery), 1x HDMI, 3.5mm headphone out

USB-C power delivery: 15W

Stand: tilt -5° to +20°

Wall mount: VESA 100 x 100mm

Design: three-side virtually borderless

Warranty: 3 Year

WHAT'S IN THE BOX:

LG UltraFine 32U631A monitor

Stand body and stand base with screws

Power adapter and power cord

HDMI cable

Quick setup guide

Why LG?

LG makes its own IPS panels, which is why a 31.5-inch office screen at this price still gets 99% sRGB rather than a washed-out budget substitute.
