Two hot-swappable Seagate IronWolf Pro 7200 RPM drives, rated for 300TB a year, ship in RAID 0 and can be changed to RAID 1 or JBOD in LaCie Toolkit. Across the front are CFexpress Type B, CFast 2.0 and UHS-II SD slots and a USB 3.2 Gen 2 hub that charges a phone at 7.5W, so you can offload cards straight to the array. It also works with Thunderbolt 2 Macs via Apple's adapter and with USB-C iPads.

Choosing a RAID mode

RAID 0 gives the full 20TB and the fastest transfers, but a single drive failure loses the whole array. RAID 1 mirrors the two drives, leaving about 10TB usable but keeping your data available if one drive dies. Neither replaces an off-site backup. On the back, a second Thunderbolt 3 port daisy-chains up to five more Thunderbolt devices and DisplayPort 1.4 runs one 8K 30Hz or 4K 120Hz screen. The dock runs from the included power supply. If you need less space, the 16TB version has the same ports, while the LaCie d2 Professional is a cheaper single-drive option.

FEATURES:

Two hot-swappable IronWolf Pro drives, RAID 0 / RAID 1 / JBOD

Dual Thunderbolt 3 ports for host connection and daisy-chaining

Front CFexpress Type B, CFast 2.0 and UHS-II SDXC card slots

USB 3.2 Gen 2 hub with 7.5W device charging, plus DisplayPort 1.4 output

Rescue Data Recovery Services included (not available in all countries)

SPECIFICATIONS:

Model: LaCie 2big Dock 20TB (STLG20000400)

Capacity: 20TB (two drives)

Drives: Seagate IronWolf Pro, 7200 RPM, 300TB/year workload rating

RAID modes: RAID 0 (default, exFAT), RAID 1, JBOD

Host connection: Thunderbolt 3 (compatible with USB-C, Thunderbolt 4 and USB 3.1/3.2 hosts)

Rear ports: 2x Thunderbolt 3 (host + daisy chain), 1x DisplayPort 1.4, power input, Kensington lock slot

Front ports: USB 3.2 Gen 2 hub (7.5W charging), CFexpress Type B, CFast 2.0, UHS-II SDXC

Display support: One 8K (30Hz) or 4K (120Hz) monitor

Daisy chain: Up to five additional Thunderbolt devices, or one USB-C device

Thunderbolt 2 Macs: Supported via Apple Thunderbolt 3 to Thunderbolt 2 adapter (sold separately), macOS 10.12 or later

iPad / iPhone: Works via USB-C (iPadOS 14 or later, iPhone 15 or later)

Software: LaCie Toolkit (RAID management, backup, sync)

Power: External power supply (included)

Rescue Data Recovery Services: Included

Warranty: 5 Year Limited

WHAT'S IN THE BOX:

1x LaCie 2big Dock 20TB

1x External power supply

1x Thunderbolt 3 cable (compatible with USB 3.1/3.2 and Thunderbolt 4/3)

1x Quick Install Guide

Why LaCie?

LaCie is Seagate's creative-professional brand, and the 2big range has been a mainstay of editing suites for years, pairing industrial design with Seagate's own enterprise drives.
