That suits photographers, students and anyone carrying work between home, office and site. It is plug-and-play on Windows and Mac with no drivers, and works with Android phones and tablets running Android 4.0 or later through an OTG cable. A blue LED shows when the drive is active, so you know when it is safe to unplug.

Speed and Cable Notes

Hiksemi lists the interface only as USB 3.1, without a Gen 1 or Gen 2 rating. Its 560MB/s is typical SATA-class performance, so a 10Gbps drive rated at 1000MB/s will be roughly twice as quick on large transfers. The box lists only the drive, so you may need your own USB-C cable, and Android use needs an OTG cable. The 1TB gives room for video projects and full backups; the 512GB version is the cheaper choice for documents and photos.

FEATURES:

High-speed transmission up to 560MB/s

Aluminium alloy body, sturdy and durable

Anti-shock and anti-drop

Plug-and-play, no drivers needed

Android phone and tablet support via OTG cable

SPECIFICATIONS:

Model: Hiksemi T300S Shield (HS-ESSD-T300S-1T)

Capacity: 1TB

Interface: USB 3.1 Type-C

Max Read Speed: 560MB/s

Max Write Speed: 500MB/s

Material: Aluminium alloy

Indicator: Blue LED

Compatibility: Windows, macOS, Android 4.0 and above

Operating Temperature: 0°C to 40°C

Certification: CE, RoHS, FCC

Dimensions: 78 x 62 x 13mm

Weight: 48g

Colour: Grey

Warranty: 3 Years

WHAT'S IN THE BOX:

Hiksemi T300S Shield 1TB Portable SSD – Grey x1

Why Hiksemi?

Hiksemi is the storage brand that grew out of the Hikvision group, making SSDs, memory cards and flash drives.
