fsp-vita-bd-850w-80-plus-bronze-non-modular-atx-power-supply
FSP VITA BD 850W 80 Plus Bronze Non-Modular ATX Power Supply

A hardwired 650mm 12V-2x6 cable on a Bronze unit, so a current GPU plugs in without the adapter you would normally have to live with at this price.

Quick Specs

850W continuous output

80 PLUS 230V EU Bronze

ATX 3.1 with a native PCIe 12V-2x6 cable

Non-modular, 140 x 150 x 86mm

120mm sleeve bearing fan

ATX 3.1 without the Gold price

The reason to buy this over a cheaper Bronze unit is the standard it is built to. ATX 3.1 defines how a supply must handle the short, violent power excursions modern graphics cards produce, and the VITA BD carries a native sleeved 12V-2x6 cable to feed them directly. If you are putting an 850W budget into a build with a current-generation card, this gets you compatibility and headroom. What you give up compared with the VITA GM is efficiency, modular cabling and five years of warranty cover.

Everything is hardwired

Non-modular means the full cable set is permanently attached: the 24-pin, two CPU connectors, four PCIe 6+2 connectors across two cables, the 12V-2x6 lead, four SATA and a Molex or SATA combination run. In an 850W unit that is a substantial bundle, so budget space behind the motherboard tray or in the PSU basement before you commit. The protection list is unusually complete for the price at OVP, OCP, OPP, OTP, SCP, UVP, SIP and NLO.

FEATURES:

ATX 3.1 compliant with native PCIe 12V-2x6 cable

80 PLUS 230V EU Bronze efficiency

Two CPU connectors for modern motherboards

Four PCIe 6+2 pin connectors

Full protection set including UVP, SIP and NLO

SPECIFICATIONS:

Model: VITA-850BD

Rated output: 850W

Form factor: ATX

Efficiency: 80 PLUS 230V EU Bronze

Standards: ATX 3.1, PCIe 12V-2x6 support

Cabling: non-modular

Fan: 120mm sleeve bearing

Dimensions: 140 x 150 x 86mm

Connectors: 1x MB 20+4 pin (550mm), 1x 8-pin and 1x 4+4 pin CPU (600mm + 155mm), 2x PCIe 6+2 pin cables with 4 connectors, 1x PCIe 12V-2x6 sleeved (650mm), 1x SATA cable with 4 connectors, 1x cable with 2x Molex and 2x SATA

Protections: OVP, OCP, OPP, OTP, SCP, UVP, SIP, NLO

Warranty: 5 Year

WHAT'S IN THE BOX:

FSP VITA BD 850W power supply

AC power cable

Mounting screws

User manual

Why FSP?

FSP was early to ship ATX 3.1 units across its whole range rather than only at the top of it, which is how a Bronze model ends up with a native 12V-2x6 cable.
