ASUS quotes 99% DCI-P3 and 145% sRGB here, alongside DisplayHDR 500 True Black rather than the 400 tier. In practice that means brighter specular highlights in HDR games without the black floor lifting. Against its WOLED sibling the PG27AQDP, this one trades a lower peak white figure for stronger colour volume and a higher HDR certification, and adds 20Hz of refresh headroom.

Who should actually buy 500Hz

Be honest about your GPU. Sustaining 500fps at 1440p happens in older competitive titles at low settings, not in current single-player games, so most buyers will spend most of their time between 120 and 250fps. The panel is still worth it at those rates because VESA AdaptiveSync certification and G-SYNC Compatible support keep motion clean across the whole range. A Neo Proximity Sensor dims the screen when you step away, which is a burn-in countermeasure rather than a convenience feature. If your desk time is mostly static productivity windows, an IPS panel will age better.

FEATURES:

500Hz QD-OLED with VESA AdaptiveSync Display 500Hz certification

FreeSync Premium Pro and G-SYNC Compatible

Neo Proximity Sensor to reduce static-image exposure

Two HDMI 2.1 FRL inputs for current consoles alongside DisplayPort 1.4 DSC

Three-year warranty including OLED panel burn-in

SPECIFICATIONS:

Model: ASUS ROG Strix OLED XG27AQDPG

Panel: 26.5" QD-OLED, 16:9

Resolution: 2560 x 1440

Refresh rate: 500Hz

Response time: 0.03ms (GtG)

Contrast: 1,500,000:1 typical

Brightness: 300 cd/m² typical, 1,000 cd/m² HDR peak

HDR: HDR10, VESA DisplayHDR 500 True Black

Colour: 99% DCI-P3, 145% sRGB

Inputs: 1x DisplayPort 1.4 DSC, 2x HDMI 2.1 (FRL)

USB: 2x USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A

Ergonomics: tilt, swivel, pivot, 0-110mm height adjustment

VESA mount: 100 x 100mm

Dimensions with stand: 61.03 x 50.21 x 16.94cm, 6.6kg

Warranty: 3 Year

WHAT'S IN THE BOX:

ROG Strix OLED XG27AQDPG monitor

Stand and base

DisplayPort cable

Power cord

Microfibre cloth and pouch

Quick start guide and warranty card

Why ASUS?

ROG panels are tuned by people who test them in the same games buyers play, and the OSD reflects that rather than reading like a TV menu.
