A 280W rating comfortably covers chips like the Ryzen 5 and Ryzen 7 non-X3D parts or a Core i5/Ultra 5, and it fits cases that can't take a 360mm radiator up top. The pump spins between 600 and 3,000 RPM on a ceramic bearing and is rated at 18 dB(A), while the two fans move up to 81.5 CFM each. Because the fans come mounted on an integrated frame, you bolt one assembly to the case instead of juggling eight screws and two loose fans.

Trade-offs to know about

At full speed the fans are rated at 36 dB(A), so set a fan curve rather than leaving them at 100%. If you run a hot Core i9 or a Ryzen 9 at sustained all-core load, step up to the 360mm Abyss L360R, which is rated for 320W. This is the plain ARGB pump version. The Abyss L240R Digi adds a temperature display to the pump head but needs a spare internal USB 2.0 header. A white version of this cooler is also available.

FEATURES:

ARGB-lit pump head, 16.8 million colours, motherboard sync via 3-pin 5V header

Pure copper water block with micro-channel design

Expanded radiator surface for heat dissipation

Integrated fan frame simplifies installation and cable management

Ceramic pump bearing and fewer-part mounting brackets

SPECIFICATIONS:

Model: Aerocool Abyss L240R BK (ACLA-AB24117.11)

Block material: Copper

Radiator material: Corrosion-resistant aluminium alloy

Radiator dimensions: 277 x 120 x 27mm

TDP: 280W

Pump speed: 600 – 3,000 RPM ±10%

Pump rated voltage / power: 12V DC / 4.2W

Pump noise: 18 dB(A)

Pump bearing: Ceramic

Fan dimensions: 240 x 120 x 25.4mm (2x 120mm)

Fan speed: 660 – 1,800 RPM ±10%

Fan airflow (max, per fan): 81.5 CFM

Fan static pressure (max, per fan): 2.3 mmH2O

Fan noise (max): 36.0 dB(A)

Fan bearing: Hydro

Fan connector: 4-pin PWM

Fan rated voltage / current / power: 12V DC / 1A / 12W

Fan starting voltage: 6V

LED: Addressable RGB, 5V DC, 3-pin (+5V-D-G)

MTBF: 30,000 hours

Socket support: Intel LGA1851 / LGA1700 / LGA1200 / LGA115X, AMD AM5 / AM4

Colour: Black

Warranty: 3 Year

WHAT'S IN THE BOX:

1x Abyss L240R pump/block and 240mm radiator

2x 120mm ARGB PWM fans (pre-installed on integrated frame)

Intel and AMD mounting hardware

Fan screws

User manual

Why Aerocool?

Aerocool has been making cases, cooling and power supplies since 2001, with a focus on giving mainstream builders good features at sensible prices.
